Time Choppers: a swimmer recognition program

Our objective is to challenge Hammerhead swimmers to:

·        focus on improving their heat times,

·        swim a little faster than they did before, and,

·        compete and swim against themselves for ribbons.

Everyone can be a winner! 

Time Chopper Ribbons (just like the other ribbons with the event and personal best time on the back) and snow ball certificates will be awarded to each swimmer who swims faster and improves their heat time.  We will use the Purple and White Meet as a baseline.  Please try and attend Purple and White to take full advantage of this program.

In 2005 we handed out more than 400 awards. 

HOW PARENTS CAN HELP: 

Help your children to become familiar with their heat times.  Heat cards will indicate the swimmer’s best time.  Encourage your swimmer to take note of these times—this is their personal best—this is the time they want to beat.
